When two tiles with the same number touch, they merge into one tile with double the value.

How To Play

Swipe, Slide, and Combine.

The board is a simple 4x4 grid. At the start of the game, two tiles (usually valued at 2 or 4) are randomly placed on the grid. Your objective is to slide these tiles to create larger numbers.

Using directional swipes (Up, Down, Left, Right), all tiles on the board will slide as far as possible in the chosen direction until they hit either the edge of the board or another tile.

If two tiles of the exact same number collide during a move, they smoothly merge into a single tile holding their combined sum. With every move you make, a new 2 or 4 tile spawns in a random empty spot.

Scoring System

Reward Every Move.

A high score is the mark of a calculated mind. Our scoring system actively rewards chain reactions and efficient grid management.

Base Merges

Every time two tiles merge, their combined value is immediately added to your total score. A 16 + 16 merge grants you 32 points.

Chain Multipliers

In our refined engine, executing multiple merges in a single swipe grants a fractional multiplier, rewarding players who set up complex traps.

The 2048 Milestone

Reaching the elusive 2048 tile secures a massive one-time point bonus. However, true masters continue playing long past this benchmark.

Advanced Play

Mastering the Corners.

While the mechanics are deceivingly simple, survival in the later stages requires a disciplined approach to grid organization. The most universally adopted strategy among veteran testers is the "Corner Strategy."

By designating one corner of the board (e.g., the bottom-right) as the anchor for your highest-value tile, you establish a predictable cascade. You build secondary high-value tiles directly adjacent to it, forming a descending snake of numbers.

If you mistakenly swipe in a direction that pulls your anchor tile out of its safe haven, a low-value tile might spawn in your corner, disrupting the chain and often leading to an irreversible gridlock. Precision is everything.
